In 2023 alone, we’ve welcomed 5 new attractions to our town. If our small-town charm and excellent collection of boutique shops and museums weren’t enough to entice you to stay an extra night in Geraldine, these new attractions certainly will!

There are even several one-of-a-kind relics, making this an unmissable destination for any military enthusiast.
Highlights include:

- A WWI trench for children to play in
- A fully-restored German field kitchen

Part of the Mundell’s complex has been transformed into a high-tech entertainment area including golf, car, and flight simulators. Take off from any airport you choose in any type of plane, or race on famous tracks around the world.
Perfect for car or plane enthusiasts, or golfers who want to practice their swing, these simulators allow you to experience
The Mundell’s complex also includes:

3. Green-Gold Gallery

The recently opened Green-Gold Gallery is a creative haven dedicated to displaying the work of local New Zealand artists. With a focus on contemporary, expressionist, and abstract works, Green-Gold Gallery also hosts workshops, demonstrations, and other events.
4. The first sculptures have gone up on the Geraldine Sculpture Trail

The Geraldine Sculpture Trail will eventually comprise a series of four loop trails around central Geraldine. The Waihi River loop was the first completed, and the first sculptures have just gone up on this loop, in Todd Park.
These two installations—one a large metal sculpture, the other a set of five stone carvings—are on loan from the Aigantighe Gallery in Timaru.
These temporary installations will remain for two years, and in the meantime the permanent installations will begin to appear, while work continues to create or upgrade the paths forming the remaining three loops.
5. The Record Keeper

Geraldine recently welcomed a new café to its excellent selection: The Record Keeper, a vinyl record store where you can enjoy a cup of coffee while listening to your favourite music. Relive the past, dig for your favourite albums, or just stop for a warm cuppa.
The Record Keeper also hosts concerts and other events.
